Overview of the Senator Donald Oliver Internship Program
The Senator Donald Oliver Internship Program is an opportunity for young black Canadians to gain valuable experience and insight into the government while helping to bring about a positive change. Interns will have the opportunity to attend and participate in various activities that will give them a behind-the-scenes look at how government works.
This Internship program was named in honour of a legacy, The Honorable Donald H. Oliver, who was appointed to the Senate of Canada by Prime Minister Brian Mulroney in September 1990. Thus, becoming the first Black man appointed to Canada’s upper house.

Qualifications for Applying
To be eligible for the Senator Donald Oliver Internship Program, only applicants who purchased or possessed a Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) or any Provincial (Canadian) Conservative Party Membership on or before January 25th, 2023, will be taken into consideration during the application process.
